In the Tri-Series, New Zealand held Pakistan to 242 all out thanks to a poor performance from them. New Zealand pushed Pakistan back with regular wickets after winning the toss, and their batting never got going. With a superb four-wicket haul, seamer Will O’Rourke was the best bowler.
The teams will now play each other again at the same location on February 19 in the Champions Trophy opening.
Pakistan’s starting lineup had seen one alteration. Faheem Ashraf is replaced by Muhammad Hasnain. New Zealand, meantime, had also changed a few things. Ben Sears and Matt Henry are out.
